Winter Park Tennis Center | Yuka

Project description

Yuka started as a Kindergarten teacher teaching Japanese language to children three to six years old for ten years. She was amazed how much the children could learn, and how much she enjoyed teaching them and helping them learn new things. Then one of Yuka’s tennis coaches inspired her to teach tennis to children and introduce them to the great sport she loves. This began Yuka’s career as a tennis instructor, which has evolved into PTR and USPTA certification as professional.

Yuka’s goal: To use her skills and passion to teach players of all ages the fundamentals of the game, good sportsmanship, and to help pass on the joy and love she possesses for this great game to those that she coaches.

Yuka’s principal of teaching follows a famous adage, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” She has had the privilege to work with many other coaches and tennis pros to collaborate and strive to be better players and coaches for many years. She is the newest addition to the Winter Park Tennis Center and is looking forward to meeting all of you.
